It certainly is a unique choice to not have a title screen. Fitting music, excellent background and character design, great sound effects, easy controls.
The controls were confusing to figure out as the tutorial seemed a bit unclear.
It's a dope game, but missing a tutorial. Not to mention it seems to lack variety.

I'm always impressed with visual novels that delve into the mind of a broken person dealing with their past. This is especially true as I easily relate to it. Magnificent character designs, beautiful backgrounds, emotional dialogue, clear character archetypes, and an overall fantastic job at the understanding of the development of the game as a whole. The endings were definitely realistic and greatly complemented the game.

Thank you for the kind words and for such a detailed review – really means a lot, genuinely!

Good music, but mediocre controls and terrible audio. Not to mention clickbait. Usually I wouldn't be so critical. But you clickbaited me with a Kim Possible game and provocative thumbnail and I really hate that. Like where's Kim?

This is a massive improvement right off the bat with the ember flames and introductory soundtrack. The physics feel a lot smoother and are an improvement from being too rag-doll like
I'll miss the body limbs flying off though. The music is making it SO much more engaging. It feels like a thrill. He seems to shoot in a specific direction so I can't control the angle he shoots at anymore which is rather annoying. And the game sometimes doesn't respond with when I tell him to shoot.
Overall, you made a lot of improvements, but some new problems are still present.

Thanks for your feedback!

After playing it too I have also encountered the problems you've listed. I am currently trying to find a way to fix them.
Thanks again!

Classic, yet very creative loading screen, clean transitions, magnificent original music, especially the genre variety, I LOVE how there are different styles of artwork that blend into each other so naturally, this definitely has that NG vibe with so many different styles coming together, yet looking beautiful. The name transitions popping up were excellent. Impressive work.

It's definitely a fresh take on the story of ninja brothers and all that. The big combos while juggling are probably the most satisfying.

However a good number of medals aren't working when I achieve them and the game has severe lag when more enemies show up.

I've been waiting for the next part!!! Perfect way to start with the sound effects easing the player back in the game. Music is as relaxing, yet upbeat and harmonious at the same time. I recommend putting back some instructions as I forgot the new controls (as in how to glide with the pen) Very creative platforming, and of course, iconic character. I love how you are still so innovative with new world's even 14 years later. You really know how to be creative man, that was AWESOME!

EDIT: Oh snap, I don't remember the scene with the lady. Did you add more to this?!!! :D

Unique graphic quality and all around design. Clean transitions. Excellent music used and easy controls. Fantastic work on the sound effects and making it fun,
The menu should have some intro music as it felt monotone without it. You should also add some other modes when the game is finished.

KiwiOverlord responds:

Thanks a ton! Music in the intro sounds like a great idea and I'll add it asap. There are two other "Challenge" modes which are hardcore and rapidfire, do you think I should add even more? :)

This has a very PVZ aesthetic. The character and background design are average. The sound effects are correspondent to the tone of the game. The gameplay music is very jubilant. The backstory's are cool and I appreciate the effort in making them as it shows you had legit passion for the game instead of making "some game for fun".
The menu probably should have music. You could've given instructions before the game starts. You give a VERY tight space for winning the first level.
Overall: The game is alright, a good start, but, this is more like a demo as it only had 3 levels. Awesome job though!

daichifob responds:

Thank you for trying it out. Yes I should put some instructions and make the game easier...
And I really appreciate your kind words!

Cheers!

Well, the intro is...something (I mean before it can move and everything), you got a pretty good background design and pretty cool icons for each individual's introduction. Easy controls, great work on the textbox. The game endings are pretty cool. It could use a music soundtrack and some sound effects as everything is kinda dull throughout without it, especially the endings. It's pretty respectable though and I see some work put in. Great work man! Actually, the multiple endings earn you an extra half star.

SinlessSHadow responds:

Thank you for tellong me, I will work on that. Also, which endings did you get?
